Having everyone on a team focused on the same things, pulling the same way, and marching to the same drum is not easy. All too often teams spend time and energy on internal issues, misunderstandings and disagreements which could be better spent on client facing issues.

Having an outside facilitator can clarify the team’s vision, obtain buy-in and create a unified group.

GAP Coaching

Many companies have employees who may excel at many or most aspects of their responsibilities, but fall short in one or two areas. Shortfalls in performance are overlooked because the employee overall makes a positive contribution. GAP coaching allows a coaching relationship to focus on one or two areas where performance improvement would significantly improve employee contribution.

Performance Improvement (Remedial) Coaching

Companies often present underperforming individuals with a plan for improving their performance, where failure to meet the plan results in termination.

Unfortunately the employee is often given little support in meeting the plan. Failure becomes inevitable resulting in loss of employee goodwill, potential legal issues, and the inevitable cost of recruitment and training to replace the employee. Performance coaching offers an alternative to:

  • Develop a personal improvement plan, including suitable metrics, and communicate and agree this with the employee in a way that maintains resourcefulness and motivation in the employee
  • Assist the employee in optimizing their performance to have a realistic prospect of achieving the goals set in the plan
  • Maintain a positive relationship between employer and employee no matter what the final outcome of the process

Sales Coaching for Professionals

In technical professions, the professional often fulfills a number of roles, including technician, project manager, team leader, and sales person. Many technicians do not have formal sales training, do not understand the client’s buying process, and as a result close fewer sales than would otherwise be possible.

We offer coaching for technical professionals who need to appear before clients to sell projects. Coaching includes the following:

  • Motivation strategies for selling more business
  • Understanding and utilizing the client’s buying strategy
  • Personal presentation in the sales process
  • Preparing compelling presntation materials
  • Selling to an individual versus selling to a group

Phone Sales Coaching

Phone sales, particularly "cold-calling," can be personally demoralizing. Even the very best phone sales jockeys can find themselves delaying a prospect call in order to do just one more piece of (unnecessary) research actually intended to delay the inevitable.

The adverse reactions arising from the idea of rejection are universal. Addressing these emotional responses can make your sales team more fulfilled and happier, but more importantly can increase calls per hour, and hence ultimately business closed.

We offer one-on-one coaching to deal with cold-calling nerves, whether for a professional sales force, or other employees whose job function includes phone sales, receivables administration or similar.
